The Gospel of Matthew is one of the books of the Bible that most clearly reveals the gospel of the water and the Spirit. In particular, in chapter 3, verses 13 through 17, there is recorded the word that reveals when and how Jesus had the sin of the world transferred to Him, and why He had to receive baptism from John. When we read the word of Matthew chapters 1 through 6 contained in this book, we must first engrave in our hearts this work that Jesus accomplished at the Jordan River. For only when we know the work of the baptism through which our sins were passed on to Jesus can we clearly believe in His salvation.
